How To Root AT&T Galaxy S III I747 On Windows, Linux & Mac With CASUAL

Galaxy S III from AT&T has been rooted for quite some time now, but for anyone who has just purchased the device and is looking for a simple and foolproof way of rooting it, XDA Elite Recognized Developer AdamOutler has just released his famous CASUAL root tool for AT&T’s S III.

  1. To begin, make sure ‘USB Debugging’ is enabled in Settings > Developer Options on the phone.
  2. Run CASUAL’s jar file and connect your device to the PC via USB.
  3. Now hit the ‘Do it!’ button and simply follow the on-screen instructions.
Before it begins rooting your device, the tool may ask you to install the drivers. In case you already had drivers installed and the tool is still unable to detect the phone, uninstall the existing drivers, restart your computer, and choose ‘MSM8960’ for the driver when prompted.
