Good news Firmware build 10.5.A.0.233 now rolling to Xperia Z (C6603) from Three Austria

Sony started rolling out a new carrier-specific firmware build number 10.5.A.0.233 for Xperia Z (C6603) devices on Three carrier in Austria. According to xperiablog, the new update is a bug-fix update in the first place but it should also add some functionality improvements to your device.

This update is being pushed out to Xperia Z C6603 devices through OTA method.

If you have not received an automatic notification do not worry, because usually these updates are done in stages, so once your device will be eligible to receive the update you will be notified.

After you have been prompted from your device all you need to do is tap on the notification and follow the information appeared on the screen. In order to avoid data traffic or any additional charges, it is recommended that you use a stable Wi-Fi connection, and also make sure that your device’s battery is sufficiently charged.

You can also check for the firmware 10.5.A.0.233 manually by going to Settings -> About phone -> Software updates -> System updates and see if the new update is available for your Xperia Z device.
For now, there are no information if the 10.5.A.0.233 updated was received by Xperia Z devices from other carrier but if you are one Xperia Z (C6603) owner from another region outside of Austria and you had received the update, please let us know.

The firmware build number 10.5.A.0.233 is also scheduled for Xperia Z C6602 model as well as for Xperia ZL(C6502, C6503, C6506), Xperia Tablet Z( SGP321, SGP341, SGP351) and Xperia ZR (C5502, C5503) variants since all have received the certifications from PTCRB.

So we look forward to the release of 10.5.A.0.233 update, which it should begin to be available in the coming period to all the mentioned devices.
