The Android 5.0 Lollipop update is now here and ready for be pushed on your Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7, and Nexus 10 devices.

The info comes from this tweet from @android, so the new update should be on your device’s update panel and all that you need to do is to start abusing the ‘Check now’ button.

The new update is expected of numerous Android Nexus devices’ users and for the time being, there are no reports of the new Lollipop OTA hitting any smartphones or tablets.

As usual the new Android Lollipop 5.0 for Nexus device is being released in phases, which means that not all users will be able to receive it in the same time.

Once the new update will be rolled out for your device then you should be able to receive a new notification on your device’s system notification panel. Tap on it and then follow all on-screen step by step instructions. In case the new notification failed to appear on the device’s notification panel, you would to make a manual check by following the next path: Settings > About phone > Software updates > Check now.

As I mentioned before the new update is expected to be rolled out in stages, and after the new Lollipop update for your Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7, and Nexus 10 starts spreading more devices, we will be able to give you a download link for a manual update.

Note that for installing the new Lollipop update your device must run a stock firmware in order to receive it as a new OTA update. In addition, another option is to install a factory image when it will be available for download, you can verify this here.
